Sickness came knocking
Breaking my very being
But then I remembered the scriptures
''By His stripes, I am healed''
Jesus fought sickness
And then I won

Poverty reared its ugly Head
To starve me of every good things
But then I remembered the scriptures
''He became poor that I may be rich''
Jesus fought poverty
And then I won

Stagnation was here as a stronghold
Making sure I don't move forward
But then I remembered the scriptures
''He made a way in the wilderness''
Jesus fought stagnation
And then I won

And like this, and like that
No matter comes my way
I will always remember he scriptures
He has done it before
I mean Jesus fought them all
And then I won
