Maturing as Kingdom Citizens

Focus
To create in us a desire for spiritual maturity
Introduction
New believers as well as older ones should long for the pure nourishment of God's Word. A sure sign of spiritual health is a deep desire to feed on the living and abiding Word of God. Be alert lest your. Spiritual hunger and thirst for God and His Word diminish or be destroyed entirely by wrong attitudes. Immaturity in the Kingdom is tantamount to being taken advantage of and controlled by the realms which our Kingdom has placed bus above.

Discussion
1.What guarantees maturity in the kingdom?
        -Studying and abiding in God's Word. Acts 20:32, John 15:1-7
        - Meditation. Joshua 1:8, Psalm 1:2-3, Philippians 4:8
        - Praying according to the Word of God. 1 John 5:14, Romans 8:27
        - Following e leading of the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:14, Galatians 5:16-18, John 16:13
        - Humility. 1 Peter 5:6, Matthew 18:4, Philippians 2:5-8.

2. What are the dangers of not growing as kingdom citizens?

Conclusion
In the kingdom, becoming a citizen is only a foundation to being relevant; there is a place of growing into and becoming a mature citizen. To attain maturity in the kingdom, we must let go of our selfish ideas, motives and mindset and embrace the full plan of God as revealed to us through His Word and the Holy Spirit.
